Pupa offers an intriguing premise that blends elements of horror and family drama, but its execution leaves much to be desired. The episodes are notably short, limiting the ability to develop the story and characters adequately. Additionally, excessive censorship detracts from the intended emotional intensity and immersion, undermining the series' impact. While the animation has its competent moments, it cannot compensate for the narrative shortcomings. As a result, Pupa fails to fully realize its potential, leaving viewers disappointed despite its interesting concept.
